Embedded Software Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

TUSAŞ subsidiary “CTech Bilişim Teknolojileri A.Ş.” has been operating in the fields of Defense, Aviation, Space and Satellite Technologies, Communication Systems, Cybersecurity, Modeling, and Simulation since its establishment in 2005.

We are currently seeking an “ Embedded Software Engineer” to be assigned at our Istanbul Teknopark Office located in Pendik-Kurtköy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

– Graduated from Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or related fields from universities,

– Proficient in English,

– Team player, responsible, and analytical thinking skills,

– Strong problem-solving skills,

– Strong analytical and multidimensional thinking abilities,

– Able to follow industry developments and trends,

– Completed military service for male candidates.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

– Proficient in C/C++ programming languages with at least five years of experience,

– Experience in embedded software development and cross-compilation methodologies,

– Knowledge of Linux user space/kernel/driver programming,

– Proficiency in network protocols (TCP, UDP, etc.),

– Experience in multi-threaded application development,

– Proficient in inter-process communication (IPC) mechanisms,

– Experienced in user interface development with QT,

– Preferably familiar with Video Streaming protocols (RTP, RTSP, etc.),

– Preferably knowledgeable about Video coding techniques and standards (H.264, H.265, MPEG-TSi, etc.),

– Preferably experienced in defense, avionics, and space projects,

– Familiarity with unit testing, CI/CD, and version control methodologies,

– Able to understand complex systems,

– Able to define project requirements and create internal work plans.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

According to project needs:

– Analyze requirements and determine embedded software and interface requirements,

– Conduct performance analysis activities and identify hardware unit specifications that affect performance,

– Dimension embedded software subsystems and unit features and parameters,

– Create test scenarios for embedded software systems,

– Participate as a domain expert in systems engineering activities and provide support for documentation.

In line with CTech Design/Development and Test Processes:

– Implement embedded software designs according to software requirements,

– Implement software according to design and company coding standards,

– Plan unit tests for implemented software, document them, and execute tests to record test results,

– Integrate developed embedded software units/components with surrounding systems (software/hardware),

– Participate in system-level test activities for projects,

– Participate as an embedded software domain expert in project system engineering activities, provide opinions, and contribute to decision-making processes,

– Prepare documentation for embedded software subsystems and components,

– Participate in peer reviews, such as preliminary design, critical design, or other necessary design reviews, or manage these activities,

– Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews or manage these activities.
