TÜRKSAT 6A

TURKSAT 6A is Turkey’s first geostationary communication satellite, which was developed using indigenous resources and engineering capabilities within the framework of the national technology move.

CTech was responsible for the development of the Telemetry, Command & Ranging Subsystem in the TURKSAT 6A Project. Telemetry, Command, and Ranging (TCR) is the subsystem that enables communication between the satellite and the ground segment throughout the satellite’s lifecycle. It consists of active and passive RF equipment that transfers incoming telecommands to the mission computer on the satellite and transmit telemetry data generated by the mission computer to the ground segment.

4 MAIN FUNCTIONS

The four main functions of TCR Subsystem, which must be performed througout the satellite mission are summarised below:
Receiving Telecommand Signals
Transmitting Telemetry Signals
Relaying Ranging Signals
Sending Beacon Signals

INTEGRATED PRODUCTS

As part of the development activities, the TCR Subsystem’s STM, BBM, QM, EM, FM equipment required by the project were designed and produced.
The entire design, development, production, equipment-level testing, satellite integration, and testing of the TCR Subsystem have been successfully completed.
Ku Band Telemetry/Beacon Transmitter
Ku Band Command Receiver
Omni RX Antenna
Omni TX Antenna
Horn Antenna
